If the post-Christmas blues usually leaves you feeling heavy, achy, or a little wrung out from overfilling your social cup, then gift yourself a moment to pause. This half-day retreat is an invitation to slow down, soften, and create space in both body and mind. Through gentle movement, deep release, and restorative rest, we’ll return to our inner spaciousness and step into the new year refreshed.

We’ll begin with somatic movement - a gentle, intuitive practice that invites you to sense from within. Through soft, fluid movements, you’ll cultivate heightened awareness, unlock greater ease, and coordination. In particular, we’ll explore how our pelvis can lead us into effortless full-body spirals. These expansive patterns create a sense of uplift through continuous flow and lightness.

This embodied movement will form the gateway to a series of supported Yin postures focused on releasing the hips and pelvis. The practice will be enhanced by the nurturing touch of Thai Yoga assists, an invitation for the body to settle into profound stillness.

We’ll close with a guided meditation, accompanied by the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls, chimes, and voice. This grounding soundscape will help clear our head space so that we might sow a few seeds of reflection. Through journaling prompts and self-inquiry we hope to lead you into a meaningful new year.

This half-day retreat is aimed at yogis who are ready to slow down, release stress and dive into a more bodyful experience of yoga. All levels of experience will be most welcome.

Monthly Soma half-day retreats are priced as follows:

£40 Early bird (before 13th December) | £45 Standard
