Tender Rituals
in collaboration with Echo Elliott
2.30-6pm on Saturday 19th September
West London Buddhist Centre in London, UK
This half-day retreat offers an invitation to slow down and turn towards yourself with care. Through mindful movement, long-held postures, breath, and rest, we'll explore simple rituals that help us reconnect with ourselves, and cultivate a greater sense of ease, presence, and compassion.
We’ll begin with somatic movement - a gentle, intuitive practice that invites you to sense from within. Through soft, fluid movements, you’ll cultivate heightened awareness, unlock greater ease, and coordination. .
This embodied movement will form the gateway to a series of supported Yin postures focused on releasing the tension in the body, and down-regulating our nervous system. The practice will be enhanced by the nurturing touch of Thai Yoga assists, an invitation for the body to experience a profound release.
We’ll close with a guided relaxation, accompanied by the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls, chimes, and voice. This grounding soundscape will help clear our head space so that we might sow a few seeds of reflection.
This half-day retreat is aimed at yogis who long for a pause, are in need of replenishing, and wanting to return to themselves with softness through a more bodyful experience of yoga. All levels of experience will be most welcome.
Monthly Soma half-day retreats are priced as follows:
